Allergist & Immunologist
Dr. Reena Mehta is a board-certified Allergist, Immunologist, & Pediatrician; and the founder of Uptown Allergy & Asthma in New Orleans. Dr. Mehta attended a 6 year accelerated undergraduate and medical school program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she graduated Cum Laude. She completed her pediatric residency at Texas Children’s Hospital- Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas and subspecialty training in Allergy and Immunology at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. After fellowship, Dr. Mehta remained on the allergy and immunology faculty at the University of Texas Medical Branch for 2 years. She then moved to Philadelphia where she worked as an Assistant Professor in the Allergy and Immunology department at the prestigious Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Dr. Mehta has published and presented clinical research on a variety of topics. She is an expert on all allergic disorders, with an interest in food and drug allergy, asthma and allergic rhinitis. Her ongoing involvement in education and research keeps her up to date on the latest practices and therapies for her patients. She has a reputation for developing strong relationships with her patients and being exceptionally attentive to their needs and concerns.
