Position Description
LSU Health New Orleans School of Nursing is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our faculty as a school of nursing excellence within an academic health sciences center environment. Our nursing faculty have the opportunity to educate future nurses at the BSN, MN/MSN, DNS and DNP level, including state-of-the-art simulation laboratories; conduct nursing & interdisciplinary research; engage in faculty practice, including our nurse-run clinics; pursue entrepreneurial and consultative activities; and serve as a nursing leader and development of leadership skills through our Emergent Nurse Leader Program. We invite you to submit your curriculum vitae for the following teaching position: Primary Care (FNP). Incumbent will be responsible for duties and responsibilities of Coordinator of Primary Care (FNP) Concentration.
Minimum Qualifications
- Required Education: Doctorate
- If Other Required Education, please specify: Doctorate of Nursing Practice or PhD
- Certifications/Licenses Required: Licensed or eligible for licensure in Louisiana as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Licensure by Start Date), currently certified/re-certified as a Nurse Practitioner
- Indicate the type of experience required to do the job: Minimum of one year clinical experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Preferred Education: Doctorate
- Discipline: Academic, Management Experience
- Indicate the preferred experience to perform the job: One year experience in a Primary Care Family Nurse Practitioner Program as a faculty member or administrator; Three years of clinical experience
