NOLA Health Policy Committee requests your help!

Good afternoon everyone,

For those of you not at our previous meeting, our health policy committee is working hard on bringing an awareness of NPs to our legislators. They NEED to know WHO we are and WHAT we do! No one else can educate them on how important we are better than ourselves. They need to hear our stories! If you are willing to meet with your local legislator to share what you do, we are asking that you attend one of our December NOLA meetings from 6:30pm-7:00pm on 12/8/15 or 12/17/15. 

In preparation for our December meetings, if you are interested in participating, we will have pre-typed letters to send out requesting meetings. Below is the website link to find your senate and house legislators who represent YOU. These are easily found by typing in your address from the link. Please perform a search for both home and work addresses because you may have a total of 4 legislators-a senator and house representative for each location. Also, please bring business cards (about 4) so that you can place inside the pre-stamped envelopes we will have available.  If you are unable to attend either meeting, attached is a letter that you can use to request a meeting or you can send your own.  You can also send requests online directly from their websites.  

Legislative session starts March 14, 2016 so we need to have our meetings before then! Thanks!
