LANP NOLA member update for January 2016

Happy New year LANP NOLA members!

First of all I want to apologize that we do not have a NOLA meeting in January. Although I secured a program last fall for January, the pharmaceutical company had to reschedule with me. I then tried to find another company to take January's spot, but it was too late. Currently, I have verbal commitments for two in February, one in March and April. I will post these specific meeting dates and venues once the companies send the official written invitations. I am diligently working on securing two each month in case one has to cancel.

On a lighter note, the LANP Board met over the weekend for our yearly strategic planning retreat. We have great plans for LANP this year.  

SAVE THE DATE Nurse Practitioner Day at our State Capitol-March 30th! 

Our Political Action Committee (PAC) does not have representation from the NOLA membership.  I am asking that one Nola member (NP students included) please volunteer to serve on this highly needed committee. Will email details. 

2017 Conference will be held in New Orleans. 

LANP has developed a LANP Foundation. More information to come.

NOLA Health Policy committee-since we do not have a dinner meeting in January, I propose we find a venue to meet anyway.  I will be sending an email with ideas. Please let me know if you have a suggestion on a venue as well. Legislative session begins March 14, 2016, so we need to begin meeting with our legislators.
